Engineered for rugged use, traditional exhaust wraps often fail under harsh conditions such as dirt tracks, desert terrain, and exposure to water and debris. The Pro Tan Exhaust Heat Wrap features a dual-layer construction combining high-temperature glass fiber with a 304-grade stainless steel outer layer. This advanced design provides superior heat insulation while offering excellent abrasion and impact resistance. Innovative Air Gap Technology keeps the glass fiber from directly contacting hot surfaces, creating an insulating air barrier for optimal thermal protection.
Manufactured in a convenient 1.5" width, this wrap is easy to install on headers, exhaust pipes, or complete exhaust systems, offering targeted high-impact protection. The stainless steel exoskeleton locks together when overlapped, keeping the wrap tight and simplifying installation. Designed for long-term durability, rugged performance, and professional aesthetics, it is available in Black or Tan in 1.5" x 10 ft, 20 ft, or 30 ft rolls.
Important Notes:
-
Wrapping the catalytic converter is not recommended, as excessive heat can reduce its lifespan. Consider using a catalytic converter shield or creating a custom shield with our Floor & Tunnel Shield.
-
The wrap is not designed to be moved or removed after heat cycling. Fibers lose their initial flexibility after exposure to heat, though thermal performance remains unchanged. Avoid wrapping flex-pipes or flex-joints for this reason.
-
Titanium Exhaust Systems: Wrapping titanium exhausts is not recommended. Titanium alloys are thin and designed to dissipate heat quickly; retaining heat can make the material brittle and prone to cracking. For titanium systems, flexible heat shields are a safer alternative.
