Pro Black Exhaust Heat Wrap is engineered to tackle extreme exhaust heat in demanding environments such as off-roading, powersports, and high-performance applications.
Traditional exhaust wraps often fail under harsh conditions like dirt tracks, desert terrain, and exposure to water or debris. The Pro Black Exhaust Heat Wrap features a dual-layer construction with high-temperature glass fiber and a 304-grade stainless steel outer layer. This design provides excellent heat insulation while offering superior abrasion and impact protection. Air Gap Technology keeps the glass fiber from direct contact with hot surfaces, creating an insulating air barrier for optimal thermal performance.
Manufactured in a 1.5" width, it is easy to install on headers, exhaust pipes, or complete exhaust systems, providing targeted high-impact protection. The stainless steel exoskeleton locks together when overlapped, ensuring a tight fit and simplified installation. Designed for long-term durability and rugged performance, it is available in Black in 1.5" x 10 ft, 20 ft, or 30 ft rolls.
Important Notes:
-
Wrapping the catalytic converter is not recommended, as excessive heat can reduce its lifespan. Consider using a catalytic converter shield or our Floor & Tunnel Shield for protection.
-
The wrap should not be moved or removed after heat cycling, as fibers lose flexibility after exposure to heat. Thermal performance, however, remains unaffected. Avoid wrapping flex-pipes or flex-joints.
-
Titanium Exhaust Systems: Wrapping titanium exhausts is not advised. Thin titanium alloys are designed to dissipate heat quickly; trapping heat can make them brittle and prone to cracking. Flexible heat shields are recommended as an alternative.
