BSTFLEX manufactures exhaust wrap and header heat wrap for controlling radiant heat around exhaust pipes, headers, manifolds, downpipes and other high-temperature exhaust components. Available constructions include fiberglass, basalt fiber, silica and specialty composite materials for automotive, motorcycle, motorsport, marine, diesel and industrial exhaust systems.

Unlike rigid heat shields, an exhaust pipe wrap follows the shape of bends, collectors and complex pipework. It creates a close-fitting thermal insulation layer around the hot surface, helping reduce heat transfer toward wiring, hoses, sensors, body panels and other nearby components.

Exhaust Wrap Materials for Different Temperature Conditions

There is no single exhaust wrap material suitable for every system. BSTFLEX supplies several constructions so the insulation can be matched to the operating temperature, installation environment and required service life.

Fiberglass Exhaust Wrap
A practical choice for general automotive headers, exhaust pipes and motorcycle systems where flexible, economical thermal insulation is required.

Titanium-Style Exhaust Wrap
Woven titanium fiber provides excellent thermal stability and flexibility for performance exhaust systems, headers and downpipes. This material is widely referred to in the aftermarket as titanium exhaust wrap because of its characteristic appearance.

Silica Exhaust Wrap
Designed for more severe thermal environments. BSTFLEX high-temperature silica wrap is suitable for applications where conventional fiberglass materials may not provide sufficient temperature capability.

Specialty and Composite Wraps
Silicone-coated, reinforced and other engineered constructions are available for applications requiring improved surface durability, abrasion resistance, cleaner handling or specific environmental protection.
