Capabilities
With vertically integrated design and manufacturing, BSTFLEX (Ningguo BST Thermal Products Co., Ltd.) supports OEM and industrial customers with reliable, repeatable thermal protection products—built for heat, abrasion, vibration, and harsh service environments. This page summarizes our core manufacturing capabilities, equipment, material options, and fabrication services for high-temperature sleeves, heat shields, exhaust insulation, and welding protection.
1) What We Do
We manufacture and fabricate thermal protection solutions across multiple processes—braiding, weaving, sewing, die cutting, and aluminum sleeve/tube forming—so customers can consolidate sourcing and improve consistency across programs.
- Thermal Sleeves: fire sleeves, aluminized sleeves, abrasion and hose guards, high-temperature sleeves
- Heat Shields & Barriers: heat shield tapes, reflective barriers, insulation layers, shield components
- Exhaust Thermal Management: exhaust insulation materials, wraps, shielding and insulating solutions
- Hot-Work Protection: welding blankets, curtains, protective shields and jobsite protection products
2) Manufacturing & Equipment Overview
Our in-house equipment supports stable output and program repeatability. Typical capacity includes:
| Process / Area | Typical Equipment |
|---|---|
| Braiding | 30 braided machines for fire sleeve and braided sleeves |
| Weaving | 30 woven machines for textile sleeves; 20 woven machines for tapes |
| Rope / Cord | 10 braided machines for ropes |
| Sewing / Fabrication | 25 sewing machines for custom insulation blankets and fabricated items |
| Die Cutting | 3 die cut machines for shaped parts, holes and breakouts |
| Aluminum Sleeve / Tube Forming | 2 aluminum sleeves machines; 10 aluminum corrugated machines |
If your program requires cut-to-length, shaped parts, special packing, or labeling, see: Custom Capabilities.
3) Material Options
We work with a wide range of high-temperature and industrial textiles to meet different temperature, durability, and compliance requirements. Common options include:
- Fiberglass
- Basalt fiber
- Silica fiber
- Aramid 1414 / Aramid 1313
- Ceramic fiber
- Polyester / Polyamide (Nylon) / Polypropylene (for protection and abrasion control in certain applications)
4) Coatings & Surface Treatments
We support multiple coatings and facing materials to achieve heat reflection, fluid resistance, abrasion resistance, or surface durability:
- Silicone rubber coating
- Vermiculite
- Graphite
- PTFE
- Aluminum foil / aluminum film
- Stainless steel facing (where applicable)
5) Products & Fabricated Items We Support
Beyond raw textiles, we supply finished thermal protection products and fabricated assemblies for installation-ready use.
- Products: sleeves, tapes, ropes, fabric/cloth, insulation, adhesives, sealants, fire stops, gaskets, tadpole tapes
- Fabricated items: engine and exhaust blankets, machinery/equipment covers, welding curtains, kneeling pads, pillows

6) Quality Controls & Documentation Support
Thermal protection sourcing often requires repeatability, traceability, and documentation for approval. Our workflow supports:
- Incoming / in-process / final inspection aligned to product construction
- Batch-referenced materials and lot-level records (where applicable)
- Procurement support documents (CoC and agreed inspection reports upon request)
- SDS/MSDS and compliance declarations for specified products (where applicable)
For full detail on traceability and inspection workflow, see: Quality Guarantee. For certificates and compliance evidence, see: Certifications.
7) RFQ Checklist (Fast, Accurate Quotation)
- Application and exposure: radiant heat, contact heat, flame, splash, abrasion, fluid
- Temperature range: continuous and peak
- Dimensions and tolerance (drawings if available)
- Preferred material/coating (if any)
- Order quantity and target delivery date
- Required documents: CoC, inspection report, SDS/MSDS, RoHS/REACH, test reports
