Installation Instructions:

Clean: Thoroughly degrease and clean exhaust components to remove all chemicals and debris. This step is crucial to prevent combustion during installation.

Mockup: Create a template using paper, cardboard, or poster board to ensure accurate cuts. The template should cover the top and sides of the runners and accommodate nearby spark plug boots or wire harnesses. Keep the template 1/4" to 1/2" larger on all dimensions to allow for folding over the edges. For tight bends, cut small wedges from the aluminum layer to prevent bunching.

Test Fit: Cut out the template and perform a test fit. Adjust the template as necessary to achieve the desired fit.

Finalize: Once satisfied with the template, trace it onto the Heat Shield Header Armor Blanket and cut with heavy-duty scissors. Test fit the piece and make any final adjustments. Use a utility knife to trim any excess insulation and fold the exposed aluminum down to cover the insulation edges.

Form the wire into a "U" shape and pierce the outer aluminum layer of the armor on both sides of the exhaust pipe. Note:
During initial installation, the Heat Shield Header Armor Blanket may produce smoke. This is part of the curing process and will dissipate over time.
